Alexander Von Humboldt (1769 - 1859) was a Prussian naturalist and explorer who explored much of Central and South America. Charles Darwin described him as 'the greatest scientific traveler who ever lived.' He is widely respected as one of the founders of modern geography. Faint soiling around edge of the sheet. Overall sheet probably slightly trimmed.
