Sir Austen Henry Layard GCB (1817 - 1894) was a British traveller, archaeologist, cuneiformist, art historian, draughtsman, collector, author, politician and diplomat. He is best known for his work as an Assyrian archaeologist. A couple of soft vertical creases (exaggerated in the scan).
