Helen Marguerite Farmer was a painter and etcher who studied under Sydney Long and was taught the intaglio printmaking technique by Sir Will Ashton. Regarded as one of the principal women etcher-painters during Australia's Golden Age of Etching (1920/1930).
This etching was exhibited at the Third Annual Exhibition of Etchings by the Australian Painter Etchers Society in July 1923.
