A pen and wash copy of the etching, aquatint and mezzotint by J.M.W. Turner and Charles Turner, 'Chain of Alps from Grenoble to Chamberi' published by Charles Turner, 1812 from Turner's 'Liber Studiorum'.
Shows the entrance to the Isere valley from above La Frette, between Lyon to Grenoble on Turner's south-easterly route towards the Alps.
