'Cerfeuil'- early French 19th century stipple engraving from the French medical reference book Flore Medicale (Medical Flowers) which portrayed a variety of flowers, trees and herbs which could be used for treating illnesses.
Pierre Jean Francois Turpin (1775-1840) was a French botanist and illustrator. He is considered one of the greatest floral and botanical illustrators during the Napoleonic Era and afterwards.
