From "Scenes de la vie privee et publique des animaux" by Jean Ignace Isidore G_rard (J. J. Grandville Pseud), published in Paris in 1842. This was a series of satires by famous writers, including PJ Stahl (pseudonym of Pierre-Jules Hetzel ), Honore de Balzac , Charles Nodier , George Sand , Emile La Bedolliere , Gustave Droz , Jules Janin , Paul de Musset . Each text is illustrated with vignettes of Grandville.
