India-laid etching, 1825, from Strutt's series of etchings titled 'Sylva Britannica or Portraits of Forest Trees'. The Fortingall Yew is an ancient yew in the churchyard of the village of Fortingall in Perthshire, Scotland. It is believed to be 2,000 years old, making it the oldest tree in Europe. Faint waterstain in margin not affecting the image.
