Original lithograph by Honore Daumier published in Paris in 1848. From a series titled 'Les Papas' (The Fathers) which appeared between 1846 and 1849 in the French magazine 'Le Charivari'. The series centred on the relation between fathers and children. Honore Daumier (1808-1879), was a French printmaker, caricaturist, painter, and sculptor, whose many works offer commentary on social and political life in France in the 19th century. Text on the reverse as issued. A couple of light creases. One very small foxing spot.
