Lady Frances Anne Crew is portrayed as St Genevieve, sitting reading in front of a rocky mound, chin resting on her right hand, hair dressed with a veil, dog at feet; five lambs lying to left, one nibbling at a plant to right; landscape with a river in the distance to left.
Crew was a diarist and supporter of Charles Fox.
