Park Place, near Henley upon Thames the Seat of the Earl of Malmesbury' Colour aquatint published in 1818 by R. Havell. Robert Havell (1769-1832) and his son Robert Havell (1793-1878) were prominent aquatint engravers. Indeed Havell Jn was later commissioned to aquatint JJ Audubon's Birds of America. They collaborated on several important series of colour aquatints of the early 19th century. Aquatint from a series depicting famous seats of England titled 'Picturesque Views and Characteristic Scenery of British Villas'. One small spot and very light crease. Framed with acid free mount and backing.
