Paul Sandby (1731 - 1809) was an English watercolourist, who, along with his older brother Thomas, became one of the founding members of the Royal Academy in 1768. He executed the earliest series of aquatints in England. Accompanied by original descriptive text. Library stamp on reverse. Trimmed just outside platemark on right hand side. Some very faint spotting.
