Engraved by Ja.s Heath.' Engraving published in 1790 by John & Josiah Boydell, Cheapside & at the Shakspeare Gallery, Pall Mall, London. The riot in Broad Street was part of the infamous "Gordon Riots" which were a number of Protestant religious uprisings in London, England, in 1780, aimed against the Papists Act 1778. James Heath came from a famous family of engravers. Francis Wheatley (1747 - June 28, 1801) was an English portrait and landscape painter.
