Hodges accompanies his two views of Gwalior with 'An Account of the Manner in which it was taken, by a Detachment from the British Army in Bengal, August 4, 1780.' 'The ancient and celebrated fortress of Gwalior is situated in the very Heart of Hindostan proper, being about Eighty Miles to the South of Agra, the Ancient Capital of The Empire'. CONDITION: Very good, some faint spotting in lower margin outside platemark. Mounted with conservation museum board and backing.
