Portrait of an aborigine from the Peron Peninsular, Western Australia. From Jacques Arago's 'Souvenirs d'un aveugle, Voyage Autour du Monde', 1839. Jacques Etienne Victor Arago was a French writer, artist and explorer. He joined Louis de Freycinet on his 1817 voyage around the world aboard the ship Uranie, Some light foxing and toning at the edges of the sheet.
