Prout was an English artist who emigrated to Sydney in 1840. From 1844-1848 he lived and worked in Tasmania. A number of his works were used for engravings in Edwin Carton Booth's 'Australia'. From 'Australia' by Edwin Carton Booth. Foxing and soling in the margins.
