Daniel Earl of Nottingham
Copper-line engraving. C1820. 360mm by 230mm (platemark). Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham, 7th Earl of Winchelsea PC (1647 - 1730), was an English Tory statesman during the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries.
From Houbraken's series of portrait engravings which he set within elaborate cartouches. They were published by Knapton originally C1740, this impression is c1820.Jacobus Houbraken (1698-1780) was a Dutch line engraver who is known best for this series of portraits." Item #1934
