Roberts - Convent of the Terra Santa, Nazareth
Tinted lithograph. 1844. 335mm by 510mm (image) 415mm by 560mm (sheet). Roberts traveled throughout Egypt and the Holy Land in the late 1830s producing watercolours and drawings of the architecture and landscape. When he returned to London Louis Haghe made tinted lithographs from the watercolours which were published by the best printers of the day.
CONDITION : One small spot in the image. Faint marks and soiling in the margins. Short repaired tear in left hand margin. Red line mark in title area. Item #2302
