Sea of Tiberias (Sea of Galilee)
Tinted lithograph. 1844. 335mm by 490mm (image) 390mm by 540mm (sheet). Roberts traveled throughout Egypt and the Holy Land in the late 1830s producing watercolours and drawings of the architecture and landscape. When he returned to London Louis Haghe made tinted lithographs from the watercolours which were published by the best printers of the day.
CONDITION : A handful of small marks in the image. Some light staining in margins, sheet trimmed slightly. Item #2303
