Tinted lithograph. 1842. 335mm by 525mm (image) 385mm by 560mm (sheet). Roberts traveled throughout Egypt and the Holy Land in the late 1830s producing watercolours and drawings of the architecture and landscape. When he returned to London Louis Haghe made tinted lithographs from the watercolours which were published by the best printers of the day.
CONDITION : One spot and a couple of faint surface creases at the very top of the image. Sheet trimmed unevenly at the top. Item #2305
