Tinted lithograph. 1842. 335mm by 500mm (image) 390mm by 535mm (sheet). Roberts traveled throughout Egypt and the Holy Land in the late 1830s producing watercolours and drawings of the architecture and landscape. When he returned to London Louis Haghe made tinted lithographs from the watercolours which were published by the best printers of the day. CONDITION : Repair to top left corner of the sheet. Stain to lower right edge of sheet, going into image by 1.5cm. A few other small faint marks. Item #2306
