Tinted lithograph. 1849. 330mm by 490mm (image) 415mm by 575mm (sheet). Roberts traveled throughout Egypt and the Holy Land in the late 1830s producing watercolours and drawings of the architecture and landscape. When he returned to London Louis Haghe made tinted lithographs from the watercolours which were published by the best printers of the day. CONDITION : Top left corner of sheet missing. A few marks, creases and short repaired tears in margins. A handful of very small marks in the image. Item #2307
