Old Whaling Station (Tasmania)
Steel-engraving. 1874. 115mm by 175mm (image) 220mm by 285mm (sheet). Prout was an English artist who emigrated to Sydney in 1840. From 1844-1848 he lived and worked in Tasmania. A number of his works were used for engravings in Edwin Carton Booth's 'Australia'.
