Chromolithograph. 1899. 355mm by 255mm (sheet). 'Nestor Hypopolius - Ka Ka Parrot - Nestor Esslingii - Prince of Essling's Parrot'. Broinowski was a Polish artist and ornithologist who arrived in Victoria c1857. From 1887 - 1891 he published 'The Birds of Australia' which contained about 300 chromolithographs. CONDITION : Very faint ripple to paper at the top of the sheet.
