Steel-engraving. 1874. 120mm by 185mm (image) 210mm by 270mm (sheet). Prout was an English artist who emigrated to Sydney in 1840. From 1844-1848 he lived and worked in Tasmania. A number of his works were used for engravings in Edwin Carton Booth's 'Australia'. From 'Australia' by Edwin Carton Booth. CONDITION : A couple of faint marks in the margins. Band of very light toning at the top of the sheet, well outside the image area. Item #4035
