Silver gelatin stereoview photograph. 1895. 90mm by 171mm (card). The women in the picture wears 'Rational Dress', which refers to a dress reform during the late Victorian era. The reform was particularly related to womens' undergarments which were modified to be more comfortable and less restrictive.

George Rose was a Melbourne photographer who started his business ‘The Rose Stereograph Company’ circa 1880 producing three-dimensional photographs - stereoviews / stereographs. He travelled Australia and the world with his stereoscopic camera, producing stereographs for the home and overseas markets. Blank reverse.
